For nearly two decades we have had the privilege of working with diverse populations in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and greater Northeast Ohio – reaching some 4,500 students in 80 schools since 2003.
This past fall, GroundWorks teaching artists presented creative movement workshops at Willson School, once a week for 12 weeks. The program, “Making

Led by GroundWorks Education Coordinator Mark Otloski and assisted by GroundWorks company artist Lauren Garson and Judson Park artist Cathy Bryan. Woodbury Elementary “People On The Move”
This cross-curricular, long-term residency involving social studies, physical education, and the art of dance-making was a major step forward in GroundWorks capacity to deliver education programming on a large scale. Involving fifteen classrooms, consisting of over 425 fifth grade students, the residency helped reinforce students’ understanding of ancient civilizations of the Western Hemisphere

EDU K-12 Residency at Rainey Institute Since September of 2013, Rainey Institute and GroundWorks have partnered to offer a comprehensive ballet fundamentals program for students ages 6 – 10 at Rainey Institute on E. 55th Street in downtown Cleveland.
