House Broken, by Miami-based choreographer and 2013 Princess Grace Award winner Rosie Herrera, sits at the crossroads of theater and dance and is inhabited by iconic misfits whose lifestyles and rituals have gone slightly askew but who still are hoping for a place in the sun. The piece premiered in February of 2014 and Steve Sucato called it “a laugh-out-loud dark comedy filled with sight gags and prop humor and tinged with the heartache of broken dreams and unfulfilled lives.”

Rosie Herrera is a Cuban-American choreographer based in Miami whose beautifully surreal work is captivating audiences and critics nationally and creating a place not only for herself in the national dance scene, but also for Miami.
