Axis (Dance Film)

Axis was created by NYC Based Choreographer Adam Barruch with original music and sound design by composer Roarke Menzies. The work was originally created as a dance-film in collaboration with New York City based filmmaker Alice Chacon, which GroundWorks premiered online in June 2021. Axis explores the alchemical processes that drive the natural world and the inner workings of our bodies. It proposes that by acting in alliance with these regulatory and elemental structures, we can produce change in ourselves and in the world around us. Movement is the conduit for collaboration, transformation and ultimately supports a continuous healing and harmonic balance.
