We are excited to introduce the newest members of the GroundWorks company!

Robert Rubama (left) is a recent graduate of George Mason University where he received his BFA in Dance. He has had the opportunity to perform works by Andrea Miller, Donald Byrd, Mark Morris, Soon Ho Park, Nick Pupillo, Ivan Perez and Yin Yue. Robert is the founder of Terre Dance Collective which has enabled him to present work in New York City and Washington D.C. He originally hails from Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Annie Morgan (center) grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and studied at the Alabama School of Fine Arts and received her BFA in Dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh. There, she had the privilege of dancing works by Septime Webre, Antony Tudor, Matthew Powell and Adam Hougland. While at Point Park, Annie was the recipient of the Loti Falk Scholarship and was highlighted as one of eight local standout performances in Pittsburgh by the Pittsburgh City Post.

Alexis Britford (second from right) is a graduate of University of North Carolina School of the Arts’ high school Classical Ballet program and trained at Boston Conservatory, The Ailey School, Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Hungarian National Ballet and Boston Ballet. A native of Columbus, Alexis graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Dance Performance from Wright State University in Dayton. She was most recently a guest artist at Neos Dance Theatre in Oberlin.

Robert, Annie and Alexis will make their on-stage debut during our Summer Series, alongside company artists Gemma Freitas Bender (second from left) and Tyler Ring (right).
